[Archive] Year in Review: 2017 + Sketchbook Flip-through

First Posted Dec 28, 2017

It’s nearing the end of the year so I figured it’s a good time to reflect on how this year went. I think art-wise I definitely didn’t create nearly as many pieces as I did the previous year due to school and working at my internship. Life-wise, I definitely experienced a lot of ups and downs, and came to confront a lot of difficulties, but hopefully I’ve grown past them and become stronger. It gives me a lot of room for improvement, come 2018..!

Year at a glance, to keep with tradition:

Previous years: 2015 / 2014 / 2013 / 2012 / 2009

Also decided to do some photosets for each month this time around; although it doesn’t encompass everything I’ve drawn this year, it gives a good summary of the month (and what inks I was using at the time haha). You can really see how much the amount of art dries up during the summer months due to summer internship/work.

Looking back it does seem like I have improved quite a bit from when I started drawing more seriously (or more often)..! As for resolutions I haven’t made any decisions yet as to what I want to achieve or what projects I want to take on (though there are a list that are in the back of my head that I’ve been thinking of/planning for a while). I still have a couple more days before the end of the year to decide.

To all those who stuck with me through this year and previously, thank you so much for coming along for the ride. For those who choose to stick around, thank you as well and I hope I won’t disappoint in the upcoming year.

Onwards to 2018!
